Hi there, and welcome! My name is Kristine and I'm the face behind Kristine P Calligraphy, specializing in Weddings and Events Signage. Here's a bit about me: 

 

My Calligraphy journey started back in 2017 as a hobby. I was scrolling through my Instagram page and noticed this woman beautifully hand wrote a welcome sign on a large mirror. I had no idea what she was doing but I was mesmerized. Thanks to the Instagram algorithm, I discovered the Calligraphy world filled with amazing individuals with their own niche and styles. I remember sitting up from the couch and grabbed the closest pen and paper I could find and started writing. Next thing I knew I was driving to Michaels and picking up my very first calligraphy "starter kit."

I started posting on my Instagram page and my DMs flooded with friends and family telling me how satisfying it was to watch we write. I kept practicing and recycled notebooks and dried out so many brush pens until I found my style. In October of 2018 I started my Kristine P Calligraphy Instagram page and it has blossomed since then.

I started to invest into my hobby and took courses, bought books and connected with other calligraphers. I started to get commissioned to do small signage for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, and other custom pieces.

In 2019 I was commissioned to do my very first wedding. I planned it all out with the bride, shared my process through my Instagram, and people started to notice me- my work. I was in shock. People actually loved my calligraphy THAT much that they wanted it in their weddings, events, their homes. I was nervous but excited! I started venturing into signage and realized it may be the niche that I've been wanting to find for some time.

When the pandemic happened in 2020, everyone stood still. Weddings and events were cancelled left and right and as everyone scrambled to to figure out what to do, I somehow found a push to work and refine my business. 

​

In January 2021, my calligraphy journey officially turned into Kristine P Calligraphy, LLC. I found my passion in wedding and events calligraphy and recognized that creating custom signage was what I loved to do. So here I am, a weddings and events calligrapher specializing in signage and rentals. 

​

I'm so excited to share my passion to the world and I can't wait to see where this takes me. Hope I get to share this passion with you!
